Oasis Product Design
Designing a neobank experience that helps Gen Z build healthier financial habits.
Young adults are managing money in a world of rising living costs, subscription fatigue, and constant digital distractions. While traditional banking apps focus on transactions, many fail to help users develop a clear understanding of their financial habits.
Oasis Bank is a concept neobank designed for Gen Z customers who want their finances to feel approachable, transparent, and motivating rather than overwhelming.
The goal was to create a banking experience that combines everyday money management with behavioral design principles that encourage saving, budgeting, and financial confidence.

The Challenge
How might we create a banking experience that helps young adults stay aware of their finances without making money management feel intimidating or complicated?
Research suggested three common pain points:
Limited visibility into spending habits
Difficulty maintaining savings goals
Banking experiences that feel transactional rather than supportive

Problem solving
Clarity over complexity
Financial information should be understandable at a glance.
Progress over perfection
Users should feel motivated by progress rather than punished by mistakes.
Money with purpose
Savings goals should feel tangible and connected to real-life aspirations.
Insights, not spreadsheets
Data should be translated into actionable and meaningful feedback.

Solution
Oasis Bank combines spending, saving, and financial insights into a single experience designed around awareness and positive reinforcement.
Financial Snapshot
A prominent balance card provides immediate visibility into account health, monthly trends, and available funds.
Savings Pots
Instead of viewing savings as a single account, users can create dedicated pots tied to personal goals such as travel, technology purchases, or emergency funds.
Spending Insights
Weekly spending summaries transform transaction data into visual, digestible insights that help users understand where their money is going.

Frequently used actions such as sending money, requesting payments, splitting expenses, and topping up funds are accessible directly from the home screen.
